My professional career started through a campus placement immediately upon completion of my Engineering in 1983 from NIT , Suratkal , Karnataka, one of the premier institutes in our country. My school days in Chennai at Don Bosco High school followed by my Engineering at NIT had developed my technical, analytical and interpersonal skills. Further my association with the college and University Cricket team had inculcated in me an attitude to be competitive, sportive and a team player at all times.

My first few years of professional career at National Dairy Development Board as Site Engineer in managing the civil and electro mechanical works of Industrial Dairy and Powder plants and also residential projects developed my project skills. I learnt the importance of planning, hard work and attention to fine details that makes one a successful project in charge at site.

After six years of project experience in a client based organization, I moved on to Project Engineering Department of Batliboi & Co as a senior Project Engineer in 1989. My role in this contracting company provided me the exposure to bid for hydro mechanical contracts for state metro water bodies and execute post award key projects such as Magaral Hydro water station in chennai and Pumping stations at Tataguni, Harohalli and TK halli at Bangalore for MMWSSB and BWSSB respectively. As a contractor I further developed the skills in execution as well as planning , procurement, management of subcontractors and cost control to ensure profits are maintained while meeting the clients expectations.

My passion for Project Management and contracting pushed me to take up works in the international arena. I joined Al Suwaidi in Saudi Arabia in 1992 as Electrical Engineer and I was responsible for design and execution of two prestigious industrial projects in Jubail. ( Ibn Zahr Polypropylene and SAFFCO Fertilizer Plant ) My involvement in these project with Multinational and leading contracting, Consulting and project Management companies personnel instilled in me greater confidence to effectively steer projects with modern techniques.
My subsequent employment (1994 onwards) with M/s Emirates Trading Agency in Dubai, a contracting company engaged in some of the finest developmental projects in the middle east, allowed me to be associated with the growth of this region . During this period, I have greatly enhanced my skills in Project Planning (MS Project & Primavera), Quality, Safety , Design ( Autocad ) , Project Management PMP and coordinating and technical skills required in delivering such projects. After successfully steering several projects as a Project Manager, I was responsible from 2006 to lead and develop multiple teams as Project Director in handling several complex and Mega Projects in infrastructure, hotel , hospital, Metro , Airport and Multi storied high rise mixed use developments. My role as a Project Director in managing these projects right from planning, procurement to execution as per program while maintaining quality and cost as well as Facility Management post completion has bestowed upon me the added skills in identifying talents, developing and motivating large coherent teams for the success of these ventures.
My successful track record in managing large diverse projects have led to greater recognition among leading consultants and Management firms in the region. This greatly aided to my further success as a Director for the division, a role I was entrusted from 2011. As a Director my experience and contact in the region had greatly influenced in bidding and securing prestigious contracts from customers who greatly valued our skills and expertise. Further the initiatives that I followed in the district cooling business in a Main contractor role undertaking civil works additionally, an experience gained while working in India had helped the company in securing repeat business in this vertical with increased profit margins.

During my tenure as a Director I have successfully steered the project and allied businesses viz Duct Factory, Air conditioning sales , Facility Management and District cooling businesses for the division amidst challenging financial times to the appreciation of shareholders.

With my track record in execution of megaprojects in different verticals and regions and also experience in profitably managing revenue and operation in excess of AED 800 Million annually for a large contracting and allied business firm , I am confident to take further challenges and higher roles.
