Ramakrishnan is a finance professional with more than 26 years of business and financial experience across a number of industries and key areas, including corporate planning, strategy and finance, fund raising, financial systems and processes, mergers, acquisitions and spin-off, treasury and financial reporting.
He has a proven track record of driving cost reduction and business improvement projects, shareholder value creation, strong financial performance, and building high-performance teams.
He is a qualified MBA(PGDM) with twin specializations in finance and systems from the T.A.Pai Management Institute, Manipal, Karnataka, an AACSB(USA) and AICTE accredited top -20, top 20 business school.
He also holds a B.Com from the reputed Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College, University of Madras, Chennai.
He completed his schooling from the D.A.V.Higher Secondary School, Gopalapuram, Chennai, a school rated consistently in the top 5 high schools in India for over decade.
He was appointed Executive Director of Ecologic Chemicals Limited, a DRL (Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited) Holdings Group Company in August 2013. In this role, he was responsible for directing the Company’s long term strategy and plans, business valuation, corporate governance, and building professional network with bankers and statutory authorities.
Prior to being elevated to a Board position, he served as the Business Partner – Finance and Information Technology (a CFO role) of Ecologic Chemicals Limited. He was responsible for starting-up the company from scratch, establishing organization and financial structure, establishing financial systems, processes and procedures, bringing in equity, project finance, working capital, team building, ensuring statutory compliances, establishing information technology networking, selecting and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Package at the Plant, Research and Development (R & D) Laboratory, and Corporate Office.
He has worked in reputed companies like Gulf Oil Corporation Limited, Reliance industries Limited, Deloitte & Touche USA LLP (New York Office), Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), Onida, Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited (now Thomas Cook India), Spartek Ceramics Limited, and Price Waterhouse Coopers.
