Extensive Knowledge of Excel / VBA / Word / Powerpoint / MS Access. Development VBA Modules for automating various engineering processes for Piping, Isometric Data Extraction from PDS, Document Delay Analysis, etc.
Designed & developed a Multi user Multi Project based Document Control System implemented it with a Client – Server Architecture using Microsoft Access Database and ASP for Web Interface for providing access to documents. This system provides the current status of the documents generates transmittals online and allows queries based on any information available in the system. Project Team Members are instantly updated with the incoming/outgoing documents and they can access the documents in real time. The system is accessible through Web hence no geographic restrictions for the users. Same was implemented at Enterprise level on Microsoft Sharepoint Platform in L&T for all Projects.
Also have exposure to MM functional module of SAP R3 where responsibilities includes creating Purchase Requests, Purchase Orders, Vendor Creation, Goods Receipt Note, Service Receipt Note, etc.
Experience also includes Document Control Lead for various international EPC Projects executed by L&T for KOC, KNPC, Saudi Aramco. Under this assignment, is responsible for implementation of Project Document Numbering Procedure, assigning roles & responsibilities to document controllers, to manage Document Control System Database and to ensure that all technical documentation are coded, controlled and distributed in accordance with the project standard procedures, and support vendors in technical documentation control matters like revision control of documentation, allocation of document numbers, preparation of transmittals, notification/distribution. Doing ad-hoc quality checks on various documents processed by document controllers. Also responsible for regular backups of database for document control system, generating various project control reports.
