Billboard Music Awards 2018 will honor the artists selected for their performance on the Billboard charts. The three-hour show, named for the music industry chart that tabulates the popularity of music in the United States, is broadcast live on NBC for the first time since the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Who is the host: Kelly Clarkson
Who is acting: Ariana Grande is the opening act of
Billboard Music Awards, giving her first award show since the Manchester Arena attack right after her concert on May 22. Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato will perform a new duet with Aguilera's first album in six years. Clarkson will pause the accommodation tasks to act as well. Other artists include Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes, John Legend, Zedd, Maren Morris, Gray, Dua Lipa, BTS and Janet Jackson.
Who is nominated: Janet Jackson is the Icon Award winner of the year. Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars have 15 nominations to the
Billboard Music Awards, including the best artist. Post Malone has 12 nominations and Imagine Dragons has 11 nominations. Other nominees include Cardi B, Drake, Taylor Swift, Camilla Cabello, J. Balvin, Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande and Charlie Puth.
