Profile
Having obtained my Bachelors of Business and Commerce in Accounting, Banking and Finance from the prestigious Monash University and as an exchange student at the University of Warwick, UK, I am now gainfully employed in Zohoor Alreef, one of the largest retail brands in the Middle East, with over 300 stores in the GCC and North Africa.
In my current job, I am involved in Credit and Risk Management, Cash Flow Monitoring, monitoring of aging accounts and taking decisions accordingly to enhance collections and coordinate sales. I have achieved immense improvement in collections and resultantly improved the cash flow situation of my company. I have redesigned the Credit & Risk policy and assigned credit limits on credit facility which has resulted in a more effective and efficient operation.
Monash University offered me a scholarship due to outstanding academic performance and I graduated with a GPA of 3.65/4.00 in 2014. I was placed in the Dean’s Honour List at Monash University which recognizes the Top 2% of graduating students in all Monash campuses. I was also sponsored for an extremely rewarding six months Exchange Programme at the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.
I am currently pursuing the ACCA qualification while working full-time and have completed 8 exams so far. Upon completion of my ACCA, I plan to move on and pursue the CFA charter.
