SUMMARY OF Career Path - Main Job Function Experience:

• Provide Health, Safety and Environmental guidance and direction to the Project Management Team (PMT)
• Coordinate all activities related to the management of the HSES effort.
• Ensure that the HSES risks and impacts associated with the project are identified, quantified and managed to the point of As Low As Reasonably Practicable.
• Provide management with the information necessary so the actions can be taken as required to maintain the risks at the agreed level.
• Develop, implement and ensure sustainable compliance with existing HSES Standards and accepted Best Practices, and Corporate Standards, Specifications & Policies including other acknowledged and approved management procedures and systems.
• Prepare, review and maintain the Project HSES MS &SP Plan.
• Ensure compliance to Host Country HSES Legislation including International accepted standards and guidelines.
• Ensure that Method Statements for Construction activities contains the necessary elements to ensure that HSES risks and Incident consequence can be managed to an acceptable level during construction of the facilities (in particular SIMOPs and protection of the environment), commissioning, hook up and operation.
Ensure that (Permits & Consents Management) Regulatory Affairs, permitting aspects and HSES
requirements of the Project are effectively addressed during the project.
• Engage all stakeholders to ensure the HSES Visionary, mission, goals and objectives are met.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Develop, implement and maintain necessary HSES Design Policy/plan, Philosophies and Control and develop required Mitigation Strategies for significant Health, Safety, Security and Environmental risks.
• Manage and supervise the HSES deliverables required to be performed by design contractor and vendors.
• Develop, implement and manage work plans for HSES Personnel.
• Assist in the development of HSES local employees seconded into the project.
• Identify and assess HSES risks and impacts associated with the construction and subsequent SIMOPS, Commissioning and Start-up Operation activities.
• Identify the necessary design Standards related to HSES aspects of the development.
• Ensure compliance with existing HSES Standards Personnel, requirements and Corporate Company Standards & Policy.
• Maintain a project HSES Action Plan/Outstanding Issues and Learnings Register.
• Prepare the necessary HSES documentation for Pre-FEED and FEED studies.
• Coordinate, prepares and update the necessary RoK Retention documentation.
• Coordinate activities pertaining to HSES MS SD systems, e.g. Procedures and standards, Risk Assessments, Disaster Management and Emergency Response Plans.
• Liaise with and advise project engineers and design team to provide and ensure HSES MS & SP including ‘Readiness-to-Mobilize’ and ‘Readiness-to-Operate’ aspects are effectively integrated into the FEED Design, Tendering Process and Project Plans for subsequent stages of the development project.
• Develop contractor HSES work scope and review and assess contractor HSES performance / competence prior to award
• Liaise with commissioning operations, maintenance, engineering personnel to ensure requirements from existing operations are properly defined and integrated into the development planning

• Liaise with Client Company HSES representatives to ensure Projects comply with client company requirements.
• Liaise with Local Authorities to discuss applicable legislation relating to health, safety, security and environment, including Disaster Management matters especially related to minimizing high impact incidents.
Provide support on routine health, safety, security and environmental issues.
Personal Proficiency, Experience & Qualifications:
• Relevant level of study: National Higher Diploma – equivalent to B-Tech degree.
• Optimal ‘Wide & Depth spectrum of all construction activities as I have worked for an extensive period of time as HSES Manager on various Major International Construction Projects.
• Established proficiency performing Tri-Pod Beta, Hazid, Hazop, Hazan, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Hazard/Risk Assessment Process, SA-PA- DA- PDA Analysis.
• Obtained a thorough knowledge of Oil &Gas processing technology and facilities and equipment engineering and standards.
• Significant experience of HSES risk assessment and SIMOPs assessment and management in both construction and production environment.
• Experience in setting up/preparing HSES Systems, i.e. procedures, manuals and inspection docs.
• Experience of Conceptual Design, FEED and subsequent stages of the development process and the preparation/review of tender documentation
• Effective management of RoK management. (Retention of Knowledge) (Specific Technology, New Experiences and Learnings).
• Attained high level of proficiency through “Models for Management” changing and managing personnel behaviours ensuring continual compliance with Safe Work Practices.
Lecturing Safety Behavioral Orientation and training, supported by Motivational Speech
sessions I prove to be successful in changing peoples attitude resulting in a drastic
increase of ‘Self-motivation’ ensuring better productivity and compliance with Safety
Rules and regulations.
• Obtained >40 years of HSES management constructing and commissioning of Oil & Gas, Petrochemical plants, Fertilizer Plants, Oil & Gas Pump-stations, Pipelines – offshore and onshore, Drill Rig Platforms offshore and onshore as well as the commissioning thereof; mega size tank-farms above grade and underground – low and high pressure; ultra-high pressure hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of vessels, pipelines, effective handling of gas release controlling and firefighting, security emergencies and company assets security management. etc.
