UniversalHunt's mission is to provide a platform to connect people and exchange information using online and offline products and services. People here include individual professionals in their personal capacity and as representatives of the companies. UniversalHunt’s endeavour is to create possibilities and opportunities for growth and development for professionals by creating a platform to network between professionals and exchange information including but not limited to Individual professional’s profiles, career opportunities and other professional opportunities, between companies and professionals, therby allowing professionals to be more informed, networked, productive, and successful. UniversalHunt provides platform to exchange information on AS-IS basis to all professionals.
Users of UniversalHunt include both Registered Users (“Members”) and Unregistered Users (“Visitors”). Members share different types of professional information/content/data including but not limited to personal details, company details, professional business and/or career opportunities like Job Post, articles, views, reviews, comments, posts, requests etc. which might help in being more productive, successful and informed adding value to their professional careers. Information/Content/data of the Services is also visible to Visitors. We aim at building a healthy, professional, safe, well-networked community for the professional growth of the Users.
You must remember that we have 2 types of Log-ins or User IDs. Type one is “Professional Users” or Individual Users who use this platform in their Individual capacity for personal use. Type 2 is “Company Users” or representatives of companies who are using our platform to avail “Business Services” like Job Post, People Search etc. We shall introduce free and / or paid services for both “Professional Users” as well as “Company Users” from time to time.
With best efforts possible to maintain your trust as our top priority we adhere to the following principles to protect your privacy:
This Privacy Policy applies to Platforms of UniversalHunt including but not limited to Universalhunt.com and mobile application and all other Universal hunt Sites (websites), apps, developer platforms and other products and services (collectively the “Services”). We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time, and if we make material changes to it, we will update the same under Privacy Policy section on our Platforms so that you may review the changes before you continue to use our Services.
If you object to any changes, you may close your account. Continuing to use our Services after we publish or communicate a notice about any changes to this Privacy Policy means that you are consenting to the changes. If you have any concern about providing information to us or having such information displayed on our Services or otherwise used in any manner permitted in this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement, you should not become a Member, visit our websites, apps or otherwise use our Services. If you have already registered, you can close your accounts.

Things you do and information you provide as a User.

Profile page comprises of several compulsory and optional fields, which may be edited from time to time.
Information you provide includes but does not limit to Profile Snapshot (stating your name, industry, functional area, total experience, salary etc.),About You (where you can give a professional description about you reflecting your identity),Work experience (where you may add your current as well as previous wok experience like your company name, industry, function, location, time period etc.), Educational Details, certifications, Resume, Other details (like birthdates, gender, marital status, nationality, interests etc.), languages known, details which might be useful for international opportunities (like having passport or not, preparedness to relocate, country specific work authorization, country specific driving license etc.), Personal details (like height, hair color, body type, skin color) which might be help for certain profession types or opportunities. Some details which are basic to create an identity are compulsory and rest are optional so you may share accordingly. You understand that, by creating an account, we and others will be able to identify you by your UniversalHunt profile. We may also ask for your credit card details if you purchase certain additional paid services. Providing more information enables you to derive more benefit from our Services by helping you express your professional identity; find other professionals of similar interests, opportunities, and information; and help other Users and business opportunities find you. It also enables us to serve you ads and other relevant content on and off of our Services.
Things other Users do and information they provide.
We also collect content and information that other people provide when they use our Services, including information about you, such as when they connect to you, or send communications to you via U-Share, U-touch, comment on your content like your photograph or articles in U-share or your profile, send a message to you, or upload, sync or import your contact information.
Your networks and connections.
We collect information about the people and groups you are connected to and how you interact with them, such as the people you communicate with or the User/s you like to share with information or interact. We also collect contact information you provide if you upload, sync or import this information (such as an address book) from a device.
Information about payments.
If you use our Services for purchases or financial transactions (like when you buy something on UniversalHunt), we collect information about the purchase or transaction. This includes your payment information, such as your credit or debit card number and other card information, and other account and authentication information, as well as billing, shipping and contact details.

We collect information from or about the computers, phones, or other devices where you install or access our Services, depending on the permissions you’ve granted. We collect information when you visit or use third-party websites and apps that use our Services (like when they use our advertisement services). We receive information about you (User) and your activities on and off UniversalHunt from third-party partners, such as information from a partner when we jointly offer services or from an advertiser about your experiences or interactions with them.
UniversalHunt companies.
We receive information about you from group companies that are owned and/or operated by UniversalHunt, in accordance with their terms and policies.
Offline Service Support
We receive information that you provide while availing offline services including but not limited to support services offered by UniversalHunt.

Our Services are a dynamic, innovative environment, which means we are always seeking to improve the Services we offer you. We often introduce new features, some of which may result in the collection of new information Furthermore, new partnerships or corporate acquisitions may result in new features, and we may potentially collect new types of information. Since UniversalHunt is a public platform we help our users in creating engaging and customized experience for professional networking and career opportunities. We wish to make our Users more informed and networked for better professional career prospects.
Develop and Provide Services and constantly improve them for better user experience
We are able to deliver our Services, personalize content, and make suggestions for you by using this information to understand how you use and interact with our Services and the people or things you’re connected to and interested in on and off our Services. For example several parameters used to search people, jobs, articles etc. via our platform are based on the parameters used to submit information. For example search by Industry allows you to search professionals belonging to certain industry. This is possible only for those users who have feed proper industry details within their profile.
We also use information we have to provide shortcuts and suggestions to you. For example, we are able to suggest information relevant to you like jobs, people, articles and/or posts,which may be beneficial to you. These suggestions are based on based on the information shared by you via your profile like your industry, function, experience and other preferences and features mentioned in your profile.
When we have location information, we use it to tailor our Services for you and others, like helping you to check-in and find information related to that location like jobs, people, events or even products or services advertised by third party pertaining to that location for benefit of you and other Users.
We conduct surveys and research, test features in development, and analyze the information we have to evaluate and improve products and services, develop new products or features, and conduct audits and troubleshooting activities.
Communicate with You
We use your information to send you marketing communications, communicate with you about our Services and let you know about our policies and terms. We also use your information to respond to you when you contact us.

People you share and communicate with.
When you share and communicate using our Services, you choose the audience who can see what you share. For example, when you choose messaging services like U-mail or U-touch you choose people you are sending the communication. When you send a request for adding to your network, you know whom you are adding based on the profile of that person.
Public information is any information you share with a public audience, as well as information in your Profile, or content you share on a U-share or another public forum. Public information is available to anyone on or off our Services and can be seen or accessed through online search engines, APIs, and offline media, such as on TV. When you add your profile or company details or Jobs or post articles via U-Share or comment against certain information, you know that you are sharing with all Users or people in general and not specific groups or selective people.
In some cases, people you share and communicate with may download or re-share this content with others on and off our Services. When you comment on another person’s content like articles posted via U-Share on UniversalHunt, that person decides the audience who can see your comment or like. If your comments are approved by the moderator who has posted the article, then the same will be public.
People that see content others share about you.
Other people may use our Services to share content about you with the audience they choose. For example, recruitment consultants or placement companies may share your Profile with potential companies, which they might feel suitable to offer you a career opportunity. People may share a Profile of yours, photo of you, comment on the article you have shared on U-Share, forward your Job Posts to other Users, Refer your profile to other Users in their network, share information about you that you shared with them.
Apps, websites and third-party integrations on or using our Services.
When you use third-party apps, websites or other services that use, or are integrated with, our Services, they may receive information about what you post or share. For example, when you click on a third party product or service advertisement on UniversalHunt or a UniversalHunt link on any third party site you are sharing information about your activities in that link. In addition, when you download or use such third-party services, they can access your Profile, which includes your username or user ID, your age range and country/language, your network, as well as any information that you share with them. Information collected by these apps, websites or integrated services is subject to their own terms and policies.
Sharing within UniversalHunt companies.
We share information we have about you within the family of companies that are part of UniversalHunt or group companies of UniversalHunt including but not limited to subsidiaries, affiliates, partner companies companies where we have direct or indirect business interests like our client companies who uses our products and services.
New owner.
If the ownership or control of all or part of our Services or their assets changes, we may transfer your information to the new owner.
Sharing with Third Party Partners and Customers
We work with third party companies who help us provide and improve our Services or who use advertising or related products, which makes it possible to operate our companies and provide services to people around the world.

3. MANAGE OR DELETE YOUR INFORMATION
You can manage the content and information you share when you use UniversalHunt. We store data for as long as it is necessary to provide products and services to you and others, including those described above. Information associated with your account will be kept until your account is deleted, unless we no longer need the data to provide products and services.
You can delete your account any time. When you delete your account, we delete things you have posted, such as your profile, photos, articles, network etc.
If you do not want to delete your account, but want to temporarily stop using UniversalHunt, you may deactivate your account instead. Keep in mind that
information that others have shared about you is not part of your account and will not be deleted when you delete your account. Also information that others
have copied can never be deleted with your account getting deleted.
5. HOW DO WE RESPOND TO LEGAL REQUESTS OR PREVENT HARM?
We may access, preserve and share your information in response to a legal request (like a search warrant, court order or subpoena) if we have a good faith belief that the law requires us to do so. This may include responding to legal requests from jurisdictions outside of India where we have a good faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognized standards. We may also access, preserve and share information when we have a good faith belief it is necessary to: detect, prevent and address fraud and other illegal activity; to protect ourselves, you and others, including as part of investigations; or to prevent death or imminent bodily harm. For example, we may provide information to third-party partners about the reliability of your account to prevent fraud and abuse on and off of our Services. Information we receive about you, including financial transaction data related to purchases made with UniversalHunt, may be accessed, processed and retained for an extended period of time when it is the subject of a legal request or obligation, governmental investigation, or investigations concerning possible violations of our terms or policies, or otherwise to prevent harm. We also may retain information from accounts disabled for violations of our terms for at least a year to prevent repeat abuse or other violations of our terms.
5. YOUR CONSENT TO UniversalHunt TO USE INFORMATION
By registering with UniversalHunt, by managing your profile, or opting in when presented with choices, you have explicitly consented for us to use your information, subject to local law, in the following ways:
Information you post in public areas of the site or place in the searchable resume database will be accessed, used, and stored by others around the world,
including those in countries that might not have legislation that guarantees adequate protection of personal information as defined by your country of
residence. By providing your personal information for inclusion in our database, you acknowledge that you consent to your information being used as
described here. While UniversalHunt takes measures to safeguard your information from unauthorized access or inappropriate use by third parties, Universal
Hunt does not control these third parties and we are not responsible for their use of information you post or otherwise make available in public areas of
the UniversalHunt Sites. Accordingly, you should ensure that you do not post sensitive information, including personality profiles, to any UniversalHunt
Site.
We use data we have about you to determine whether you might be interested in the opportunities, products or services of a particular third party. We show
you targeted ads on our sites or other sites with which we have a business relationship. These ads are targeted based on information we collect about you
and information about you we acquire from third parties.
6. PRIVACY SETTINGS FOR PROFESSIONAL USERS (Individual Users)
There are different types of “Privacy Settings” we provide for basic privacy settings under the section of “Settings” after you Log-in to all our Professional Users.
a. Limited Sharing (Default)
This is defaulting setting where by Users can hide Personal Info like Salary and Contact Info from public profile. However, your Personal information except salary will become visible to other Users once you add them to your Network. Similarly Your personal Information as well as Salary will be visible to Company Users once you apply against a Job. If you reply to any User’s email, your email ID will be naturally visible.
b. Share Everything
Do not hide anything to anybody. All information is available to all users.
c. Hide From People
Your profile will not be searchable to Individual Users / Professional Users but it will be visible to Corporates / Company Users so that you continue to get Job Opportunities from companies and recruitment consultants
d. Hide From All
Your profile will be non searchable from both Users i.e. Professional users as well as Company Users so that you do not get any communication for Job or Network etc but you can apply against Jobs Posted after which your details will be visible to the concerned User
We can change these settings and its features from time to time.
7. How will we notify you of changes to this policy?
We’ll notify you when we make changes to this policy by updating the policy under “Privacy Policy” or “Privacy” Section. You may accordingly review the policy from time to time and decide to continue using our Services or not. Using our Services after a notice of changes has been communicated to you or published on “Privacy Policy”, shall constitute consent to the changed terms or practices.
