Web Developer
As a Web Developer, your main responsibility is for the production, maintenance and support of the ecommerce platform and systems. You’ll also work closely with backend and integration developers to implement various integrations with ERP systems and 3rd party marketing tools. Good understanding of business objectives and delivering the best solutions.
The ideal candidate has a mix of front end developer, backend, DevOps experience.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee front end development for client.
• Partner with respective Digital Managers and IT Manager to ensure websites are operating at optimal levels to drive sales and ensure the optimal customer experience
• Work with the offshore team and work closely with digital marketing and solution partners
• Good organization skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to write clean, organized, optimized and easy to read code
• Testing code for cross-browser, cross-platform, and/or cross-device compatibility and resolving inconsistencies
• Deploy code that is meeting Magento standards, compliances and MVC architecture
Skills and experience necessary for this role:
• Experience with a version control systems and deployment tools such as GitHub, Ansible, Fabric, Vagrant
• Strong system-level troubleshooting skills and ability to identify and resolve performance and scalability
• Proficient in current web-based technologies to include, but not limited to PHP, XML, AJAX, and REST-ful services, as well as industry standards including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Familiarity with SQL database platforms, web servers, application servers, and operating systems
• Proven ability to start and finish projects independently utilizing good time management skills and complete tasks in conjunction with unexpected business needs
• Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions
• Ability to quickly understand business needs and use out-of-the-box thinking to meet business objectives
• Understanding of Magento Ecommerce framework and code structure is a plus
