-Interpreting buyer briefs : candidates should have design sense to understand and interpret buyer mood boards/themes.
-Research & analysis : candidates should have the ability to scan through textile trend forecasting websites, catalogues & competitor websites to analyse and document trends as per buyer mood boards/themes.
-Design Development : candidates should have the ability to select suitable motifs, create variations to motif & scale, makedesign layouts, set design repeats, work on colour ways and transfer designs to CAD. Once the files are ready, candidates should be able to do colour separations in CAD and handover final files to suppliers.
-Special emphasis : candidates expertise in developing designs for printing process like hand screen, rotary, block, digital printing, making copy right changes to design, developing surface design patterns for embroidery and creating weave patterns on CAD.
-Print follow up & solving technical issues : candidates should be able to foliow up with suppliers and solve all technical issues.
-Strike off approvals : candidates should have the capability to approve design/colour strike offs before proceeding in bulk.
- Handover approved designs/samples : candidates should have the ability to compile, record and handover approveddesigns/samples to merchandising and production teams.
-Candidates will be reporting to Head of Design. They will also be required to interact with various departments such as merchandising and production.
QUALIFICATION UG:B.Tech/B.E. - Textile, Diploma - Fashion Designing/Other Designing, Graphic/ Web Designing
PG:Any Postgraduate - Any Specialization
Doctorate:Doctorate Not Required
Should have experience in Home Textile Industry
Should have good understanding & interpretational skills
Should have expertise in developing designs for printing process
Good communication skills and ability to interact with buyers
Should have reasonable product knowledge
Ability to work in a team
