Teaching Professor Activities Instructing Research Organisational Skills organizational behaviour imparting professorJob Purpose: The role of the Individual Needs Support Assistant (INSA’s) is to provide support to pupils and teachers in the Primary & Secondary Phase of the School. The Individual Needs Support Assistant will support the teachers in enhancing the effective involvement of pupils with SEND and/or learning barriers in their academic and social development.
Reporting To: Inclusion Leader
Responsibilities:
Work alongside teachers and other staff to support pupils’ learning, especially those with SEND or a learning barrier
Implement focused interventions as outlined in IAPs
Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement, under the guidance of teachers
Provide feedback to teachers the progress, outcomes and achievements made by pupils
Monitor, maintain & review records of pupil progress over time and support teachers to plan subsequent learning based on their needs.
Apply strategies to promote pupils’ self-esteem, self-confidence and independence
Prepare the learning environment and resources under the direction of teachers i.e preparing classrooms materials, equipments & supplies.
Supervise and support pupils during field trips, group activities, sports events or other events, etc.
Work as part of an Inclusion Team, accessing relevant training and attending parent review meetings where necessary
