 Job Description

 Experience of Procurement in heavy engineering industry preferably in the field of manufacturing equipments related to Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Fertilizers, Power, Nuclear & allied industries.

Major Responsibilities-

a. Experience for purchase of steel plates, pipes, pipe fittings, tubes, forgings, internals, fasteners, gaskets & other items related to Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Boilers, Reactors, Columns, etc.

b. Exposure to import of material procurement from overseas mills & suppliers.

c. Knowledge of Stores management & Inventory control is preferred.

d. MIS preparation such as Monthly Review reports related to Materials deptt.

e. Willing to travel frequently in India & overseas for follow ups, relationship building & Vendor development.

f. Excellent negotiation skills for getting competitive pricing & to focus on savings on materials.

g. Excellent oral & written communication skills.

h. Knowledge of Taxes & duties applicable on indigenous & overseas procurement.

i. Knowledge of manufacturing processes like welding, machining etc.

j. Experience in rate contracts.

k. Knowledge of working on computers including word, excel, power point & SAP/ERP.
