Job Role: Engineering Manager Report To: Vice -President Job Description: · Will be responsible for SDLC- Design, execute, utilize and maintain software engineering applications. · Implement best practices, and improve methodology of software development · Assign work to software engineering personnel and evaluate plus manages their performance. · Should be able to resolve issues that arise during design and implementation, and in post-production. · Supervise engineering deliverables and ensure software engineering personnel is suitably trained to perform all job function and suitably use project and software related tools.Ensure team members are on their growth path and continuously learning. · Keep track on exit criteria and run release checkpoint processes across relevant stakeholders. · Provide input into the product development strategy detailing areas for product improvement. · Support preparation of Technology Roadmap. · Help translation of business requirements into technical needs and actions. · Improve existing system’s performance, reliability, scalability and resilience. · By understanding PRDs create technical workflow · Responsible for defining and documenting architecture, capturing and documenting non-functional (architectural) requirements, preparing estimates and defining technical solutions to proposals Job Requirements : · At least 8 years of experience in software development out of which minimum 4 years should be in coding. · Expertise in Java and Java Enterprise technology applications architecture, design, development and support. · Experience with Big data, Analytics, Cloud, Machine learning and scaling the product is highly desirable. · Comfortable operating within a small company / start up with knowledge of larger organizations needed for best practice, processes etc. · A track record of delivering software on time and to budget. · Experience overseeing multiple projects at the same time; Ability to define and execute processes. · Experience and depth of knowledge in Product Architectures, Middleware technologies, Cloud technologies and ability to apply the right technologies as part of solution · You should be able to lead and mentor teams and should have experience in building, developing and managing highly effective teams (10+ engineers). · Profile demands high-level system integration and implementation experience · Previous experience of building analytical solution,crawlers is an advantage.
