Senior Network and Integration Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Systems and Networks Integration Engineer responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Plan, design, install, integrate, test, and document Internet server farms, communication networks, Intranets, Extranets, Cloud Infrastructures and online applications
• Research, configure, install, integrate and document value-added services and the required infrastructures (e.g. VPNs, Broadband services, Platform management, …)
• Plan, architect, design, develop/program, integrate, test, and document web based applications and product customizations/enhancements
• Provide on-site and second level support on NavLink products and services. This includes after hours on-call support for critical issues (i.e. service is down)
• Technical prime on at least one product and/or solution (e.g. Mail expert, Security expert). As such follow up on all advances in this area as well as follow up on all features, release notes, bugs related to this product/solution. Maintain up-to-date product information and special notes on the Intranet.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience
• Computer and Communication Engineer (CCE) or Bachelor of Computer Science or another degree in relevant discipline with appropriate technical experience in NavLink’s field of work
• Excellent written and oral communication skills (English and Arabic. French is a plus)
• Excellent customer relation skills with the ability to understand complex business processes and activities
• Very methodic, systematic, and thorough in his/her work
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Ability to learn quickly and think through a problem resolution
• Ability to understand and put in writing business and technical requirements
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Visio
• Very good knowledge in the below technologies is a plus:
- Microsoft Windows Server (2003+), Linux (CentOS, Ubuntu)
- Virtual Platforms: VMWare, Citrix
- Server and Storage Solutions: SUN, HP, Dell, EMC
- Networking Components Configuration: Router/Switch, Firewall, Load-Balancer
• Very good knowledge of RDBMS: design, backup/restore, performance optimization
• Very good knowledge of standard SQL: views, procedures, functions, exception handling, cursors, dynamic cursors; knowledge of mySQL and MSSQL is a plus.
• Very good knowledge in scripting/code writing: adheres to programming best practices (structured code, comments, exception handling, etc); knowledge of perl, php is a plus
