Senior Merchandiser

1. Meeting with vendors and explaining new development requirement to vendor team

2. Planning for new season sampling and production orders

3. Collecting of samples, trims and different types of swatches etc from the vendors

4. Submission of samples to buyer through courier

5. Follow up with vendors for samples

6. Follow up with buyers for approvals and feedback

7. Giving approval on samples where buyer intervention is not required

8. Updating latest comments on particular styles or order to vendor representative

9. Update the buyers with the order status at all stages

10. Execution of running orders (production)

11. Visit to vendor site where required

12. Sourcing of materials for new development ( Sample Developments )

13. Preparation of material requirement ( BOM where required pertaining to sampling )

14. Selection and finalizing of vendors for the upcoming orders based on vendor’s experience of making similar products

15. Preparing Purchase order or executing it through Purchase departments

16. Costing and negotiation with trim & accessory suppliers

17. Handle quality issues for sampling as well as production where required

18. Preparing inspection schedule for shipment and notifying to quality department in the buying house or third party QA.

19. Maintaining files and Accounts pertaining to styles

20. Updating Time and Action calendar ( T&A )
