Senior Engineer

A Tyfone Senior Software engineer will have ownership of a subset of applications identified on an as-needed basis. In addition to maintaining the canned technical architectures, they will be responsible for adding, maintaining and extending the packaged application's components. Senior Developers will work closely with the functional resources to ensure that applications are fulfilling Tyfone’s business requirements. Activities will include all aspects of development lifecycles (e.g. analysis, design, development, test, etc.) on cutting edge mobile banking and payment solutions. He/she will participate in all the stages of product life cycle, which will involve analysis of product requirements, design, implementation and QA process.

• Test Driven Development of applications and APIs for the products that are built by Tyfone engineering team
• Works closely with Principal engineer to build the API /platform using spring and relevant framework
• Responsible for technical designs and Unit Test plan
• Responsible for mentoring junior developers with code reviews, design reviews, and unit tests.
• Develop design specifications and use appropriate charts and diagrams to translate ideas to coordinate with the team
Required skills
• 6 to 8 years of development experience in Java technologies.
• Strong development experience in Spring 4.0 and Hibernate or JPA data objects
• Development knowledge in spring security is a plus
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Can develop SOA services
• Can develop Restful API endpoints containing JSON.
• Experience in development and debugging of AOP injected code.
• Experience and proficiency in JUnit test cases, profiling, code coverage, logging, source control tools and practices
• Can perform code reviews, providing positive and constructive feedback as well as accept feedback about his/her own code.
• Experience working in an Agile product development is a plus
• Nice to have – Experience in identity services , SAML, OpenID Connect, cryptography etc,
• Experience on cloud platforms like AWS
