Sales Engineering Business Development System IntegrationJob Description:
Theorem is seeking a high energy, outgoing Sales Engineer who can combine excellent technology, sales, service, and communication skills to high profile clients. The Sales Engineer will provide the conceptualization, development and implementation of an enterprise solution. He/she will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our company’s solution portfolio and be adept at positioning solutions to best address prospective client’s needs. This position will support and facilitate the sales process for our most complex services to clients, helping customers understand Theorem’s capabilities and the options available to them, how they can best benefit their business, and the process by which they will be implemented and supported. They will work with the customer to ensure solutions work successfully once the buying decision has been made. The sales engineer will also introduce modified, improved, and/or advanced technology or services to drive improved performance at Theorem and/or the customer. The sales engineer may conduct training sessions or demonstrations to accomplish this.
Core Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with client principals and partners in working with customers to understand requirements and provide technical sales support.
• Provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests. Prepares and delivers detailed presentations explaining products and services to customers.
• Map out the initial technical requirements of an integrated client project or solution and provide the initial architecture.
• Work with a solution architect to finalize solution details, properly present to client for approval, and translate effectively to operational and delivery staff to ensure project success.
• Prepare cost estimates by studying customer documents and consulting with key stakeholders at client site and within Theorem.
• Identify current and future customer service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual customers.
• Help clients solve problems and recommend improvements, gaining customer acceptance by explaining or demonstrating benefits, including cost reductions and operations improvements.
• Secure and renew new orders and work with Client Service and Operations teams to arrange and ensure delivery success.
• Plan and modify products and services to meet customer needs. Work with internal stakeholders to develop new services and product offerings and help ensure that future versions are meeting client needs
• Develop customer’s staff by providing information and training.
• Keep current on industry knowledge and trends, technology advances, and legal constraints so as to determine how it may impact a client engagement and properly advise customers on needed actions.
• Prepare sales engineering reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results and achieving sales targets as outlined.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of digital experience
• 2 to 5 years’ experience in a sales engineering or similar role within online advertising and digital media space, including experience or direct exposure to the solution architect role.
• 3+ years developing, delivering and measuring digital strategies across digital ecosystems in large organizations, digital agencies, product development or consulting firms
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated client engagement, project management and program architecture and design skills.
• Proven ability to problem solve, sell to customer needs, gather and document requirements, and understand and explain technical and complex products and services.
• Prior success at project coordination and business development involving multiple technical teams, stakeholders and business functions.
• Deep experience in enterprise architecture, systems integration, package implementation, and system architecture.
• Strong knowledge of relevant technologies such as HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery,ASP.NET/C#., Hibernate, database systems, API integration, reporting tools, and a variety of software development methodologies.
• Ability to work across different teams, onshore and offshore and build a robust collaborative communication framework for internal teams.
• Exposure and experience in such areas as automated trading, ad serving solutions, database marketing technologies, business intelligence and / or industrial strength CRM systems.
• Awareness and understanding of key technology areas in the digital media space such as viewability, ad fraud, ad targeting tools, bots, etc.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting information and influencing senior business executives, both internally and externally.
• Ability to work in a self-directed manner, escalating questions and issues to management when appropriate.
• Sales Cycle experience a plus.
• Travel as required both within US and globally.
