This role will be responsible for research and develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including manufacturing processes, human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistic and material flow.
The Role will include:
1. Has a thorough understanding of the Potential-Failure Curve and relationship to setting maintenance activity frequencies
2. Participate actively in the weekly work scheduling meeting
3. Assists in the development of long-range asset management schedules and budgets
4. Educates other employees about reliability concepts and local reliability implementation
5. Receives completed Reliability Inspection data sheets and initiates appropriate action
6. Maintains the PM (Preventive Maintenance) and PdM (Predictive Maintenance) systems and process within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
Develops, recommends and implements strategies for improving the reliability of the manufacturing processes
7. Performs reliability reviews of each modification or design change
8. Reviews predictive maintenance activities, recommends changes to the type of monitoring, routes, frequency and equipment monitored
9. Maintains or monitors equipment downtime database with focus on monitoring unscheduled downtime on key process equipment
10. Responsible for RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) or FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) on existing equipment and all new equipment
11. Monitors and performs trending and analysis of all PdM (Predictive Maintenance), PM (Preventive Maintenance) and CBM (Condition Based Maintenance) data
12. Monitors the execution and effectiveness of lubrication programs
13. Performs life cycle cost analyses on all engineering design changes
14. Reviews required asset management performance reports
15. Communicates the key asset management performance indicators as well as the company’s KPIs (Key Process Indicators)
16. Works closely with the Maintenance and Operations Departments in performing RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) and asset management improvement
17. Generates downtime analysis reports and performs Pareto Analysis on results, uses Pareto Analysis to identify opportunities and prioritize improvement efforts
18. Ensures that all department work performed is done in a safe manner and that all work areas are maintained to meet or exceed all safety rules, as well as all local, state or province and federal safety and environmental laws and regulatory acts
19. Supervision on maintenance teams as needed
20. Ensures that identified elements of the Asset Management Process and Standards are fully implemented and functioning
Educates other employees about reliability engineering and local reliability implementation
21. Works closely with the Predictive technology specialists, external and/or internal to optimize the scope and frequency of checks
22. Identifies the critical processes and understands how they affect throughput, quality, environmental and safety compliance
Candidates must demonstrate the following;
Require knowledge, skills, and understanding of a broad range of data analysis techniques that include the following:
• Statistical process control
• Reliability modeling and prediction
• Fault tree analysis
• Weibull analysis
• Six Sigma (6σ) methodology
• Root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
• Failure reporting, analysis and corrective action system (FRACAS)
Must possess a demonstrated high degree of tact in dealing with both plant staff and maintenance personnel
Good oral/written communication skills
Good data management and analysis skills
Working knowledge of Reliability Tools, Reliability Centered
Maintenance Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams, & Weibull Analysis
Working knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques
