Function Description
As Marine Construction Manager you are overall responsible for all marine construction works on site and managing all resources for the construction works, such as personnel, equipment, materials and subcontractors. Main tasks and accountabilities are
• Coordinating project resources to ensure completion on time and within budget
• Ensuring project execution in accordance with the project quality control plan and quality requirements in the contract
• Ensuring that all works are in accordance with contract specifications
• Resolving engineering matters concerning project execution, planning and site queries (in cooperation with the project engineer, work preparation engineer and site engineers)
• Informing the project manager on all relevant aspects of construction works in terms of planning, progress, quality, safety and subcontractor performance
Qualifications
As Marine Construction Manager you have the following qualifications:
• Degree in civil engineering (Bachelors in Civil Engineering)
• At least 10 years experience as a project manager in marine construction wroks such as quay walls, dredging & basin clearing, break waters,foundation bed,fenders& bollards, rock filling etc.,
• Thorough knowledge of contract specifications, planning, budget, construction processes, HSES and quality requirements, materials, equipment and tools
• Analytical and organisational skills
• Flexibility to adapt to very diverse site circumstances
• Eager to work KSA – Project sites
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Gulf Experience preferred but not mandatory
