Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Act independently, analyze and provide a clinical diagnosis for individual patients to determine their need for physiotherapy intervention.
Develop and review treatment programmes, along with patients themselves that encourage exercise and movement by the use of a range of techniques.
Identify and treat their physical problem.
Assist patients with joint and spinal problems.
Assist in the supervision and education of physiotherapists and physiotherapy support workers.
Write patient case notes and reports and collect statistics.
Keep up to date with new techniques and technologies available for treating patients.
Communicate with a wide range of patients, carers and health and social care team members.
Liaise with other healthcare professionals to exchange information about the background and progress of patients, as well as to refer patients.
Ability to multi-task and to work with frequent interruptions.
Willingness to undergo training in advanced modalities such as spinal decompression foot biomechanics and apply the acquired knowledge in day to day practice.
After training, assessing the patient foot condition and providing proper orthotics.
Evidence of ability to manage orthopedic caseloads independently
Personal insight and reflection skills and is aware of own strengths and weaknesses
Orthopedic, Sports physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills and knowledge
