The position is responsible for day-to-day operational activity which include monitor, installation, and configuration and troubleshooting of Routers, switches, firewalls, in a multi-vendor environment.
The position adheres to ITIL standards following Incident, change and problem management, policies and procedures and knowledge on information security best practices
Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Should have good understanding of NOC Environment and have worked under pressure situation.
Perform changes to complete tasks/projects, resolve incidents/problems with in SLA.
Produce documentation to effectively manage the datacenter environment as well as the enterprise network.
Position requires strong facilitation skills to sustain the teamwork, coordination and communication required among associates from multiple technical domains in order to deliver and maintain high quality services.
Detailed Roles and Responsibilities
At least 3+ years previous experience in a Technical Support Role.
Good Knowledge on Cisco Routers configuration and management ,Configure and support P,PE and CE routers
Good Knowledge on Configure and Manage MPLS and service Provider network
Cisco Switch configuration and management, Layer 3 and Layer 2.
Working Knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, multicast and BGP) and switching protocols (Vlans, STP, RSTP, VTP, trunking, CEF, Etherchannel).
Experience on LAN and WAN technologies , ASR Routers, enterprise 4500/3800/2600 switching
Knowledge in Data Center Nexus switching and strong knowledge and experience in DC environments
Experience in internetworking troubleshooting in a large-scale network environment.
Fix issues related to advanced configuration on Switches/router network infrastructure.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
Experience in dealing with different Monitoring tool (HP NNM, BSM and ticketing tool )
(Special behavioral skills, knowledge and experience needed for the satisfactory performance of the job)
Educational & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field is desired.
Scholarship or Diploma in IT
General experience in Network and security technologies including: Cisco routing , Switching, Firewall Configuration and Management; Log Analysis and Management tools, Packet Capture and Analysis
ITIL V3 foundation. (Optional)
Cisco / Juniper Certification for routing, switching must (CCNA/CCNP)
Certification is Firewall technology (Optional)
