Mechanical Design Engineer

Drive and define the mechanical architecture, concept and detailed design in accordance to stakeholder requirements, from a concept to a validated serial production maturity, within a given timeline Develop in accordance with the Continental Product Life Cycle Develop and promote platform strategies with the subsegment Seek consensus between stakeholders Use and assist development of ME Team to achieve required results in the given timeline Develop resource solutions with group leader Negotiate timelines Ensure the following tools, methods and tasks are implemented correctly and effectively: Requirements engineering, creation of CAD Models and drawings, DFSS and FMEA Design evaluations using calculations, simulations and engineering tests Coordination of Bsample components Analysis & interpretation of validation results Object & discipline reviews Active participation in DFSS Teams Introduction of BOMs into SAP Change management Introduction and release of subcomponents into production with associated sourcing and APQP Support Requirements Academical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar Several years experience in mechanical design Proficiency in ProEngineer Good Experience with WISE, Windchill and Continental SAP Good Experience with designing parts for plastic injection moulds Knowledge in designing parts for aluminum die cast process Good Experience with designing stamped or deep drawn parts Collaboration experience with electronic hardware designers Very good communication skills in German and English (written and spoken) Intercultural team skills and flexibility Structured and detail orientation/thinking
