I. Position Overview:
The Inventory Controller will be responsible for administering the inbound purchasing process of the stock for sale.
Ensuring that the right product is at the right place in the supply chain, in the right quantity through an efficient and error-free process as well as proactive analyses of stock for sale, the provision of stock-usage options for consideration by the team.
Reporting Matrix:
Report to and work closely with the Operations Director, Business Development and Chief Accountant.
Subordinates: Direct – 2 Outbound Logistics Assistant

II. The Role:
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Arrange all deliveries and inbounding into the warehouse so as to maintain optimum inventory/stock levels at the warehouse
• Evaluate condition of stock and ensure quality check is undertaken
• Manage stock levels and trigger stock movement by generating replenishment orders / distribution orders
• Order and replenish inventory based on SKU forecasts to maximise inventory availability.
• Identify the stocks that are in the warehouse for a long time and bring it to the attention of the Superiors
• Ensure that daily transfers are updated and confirmed in MIS/IT system within the same day
• Supervise stacking and storage of goods and maintain safety measures to preserve goods
• Calculating run rates on all essential items (purchased stocks such as cocoona, contours etc.) and Consumables
• Raising LPOs in a timely manner to ensure these are never out of stock
• Manage the inventory value split by consumables, essentials, liquidation to ensure a favourable balance between all three
• Assist with liquidation strategies
• Analyse data and work with Marketing to share which items are coming, which items we have deep quantities and so on
• Ensure all items ordered are visible on the website
• Maintain and update master files (products, vendors, etc.) working closely with the buying team to ensure system accuracy at all times
• Assist in stock audits to analyze current processes & systems.
III. What we are looking for
Qualification, Experience and other attributes:
• Graduate degree essential, preferably with specialization in finance or supply chain management or operations management
• Experience 5 - 10 years, preference will be given to candidates from a fast-paced manufacturing or retail environment
• Sound understanding of the working practices associated with a high volume retail consumer environment and ability to adapt accordingly
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office particularly Microsoft Excel with experience in analysis and data management
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
• Knowledge of established inventory control and advanced materials planning techniques.
• Knowledge of NetSuite ERP or equivalent will be plus.
