Develop and implement quality management strategy and plans, including resource, systems, timescales, financials, to support, contribute to, and integrate within, the organizations annual business plan and long term strategy. Contribute to executive policy and strategy. Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization Monitor and inform/communicate/apply standards created/maintained by external bodies, and integrate within internal quality management systems. Establish and implement necessary communication strategy for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments. Report as necessary on changes in standards (internally and externally initiated) and on performance against standards. Liaise and co-operate with quality management and standards bodies (e.g. BSI, Government Departments, HSE, etc) Manage departmental performance against agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and standards. Liaise with customers and suppliers where necessary (where impacted/affected by quality issues) Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation Identifying relevant quality-related training needs within the organization Collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary Writing technical and management system reports Bringing together staff of different disciplines and driving the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality procedures Liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications Monitoring performance through gathering relevant data and by producing statistical reports Manage staff according to company standards (appraisals, discipline, training, development, etc).
