Game Master

Job Description:

Breakout is hiring Game Masters to join our team!

We are looking for friendly, upbeat team players with excellent customer service skills to ensure that our guests have an amazing time while they are with us. At Breakout, we have themed escape rooms featuring highly thrilling escape games where our guests are immersed into a story line before they enter one of our rooms. They must work together in teams to locate and solve clues or puzzles to not just escape from the room but also solve the mystery associated with the story.

This job is a lot of fun where you interact with guests who may or may not know about escape gaming, set the stage up for them to go in and have fun. It is up to the creativity and imagination of a game master to make the story interesting to every guest that walks in. Hence, we need someone who is outgoing, fluent in English, handles groups of up to 10 people easily and finds innovative ways to bond with the teams that walk in.

Duties will include but not limited to:

• Booking events and taking payments
• Greeting our guests and immersing them into the storyline while clearly explaining the rules.
• Monitoring the guests while they are inside a room and providing the right clue when required
• Reset the games which includes placing the props, clues and other inventory at the right places. This is very important as this decides the flow of the game.
• Being a pro yourself in all the games. All clues, rules and game flow must be at your fingertips.
• Taking photos of guests and posting it in our social media page
• Hype up the excitement as much as possible.
• Collecting feedback from our guests
• Cross selling other games while promoting the concept to our potential customers

Other qualities expected:

• Very Friendly
• Problem solver
• Basic computer skills
• Punctual (Good to have a vehicle or stay closer to the store)
• Experience in customer service is a plus.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Above all loves to work in this industry

Some days you will be leading game after game, other days you will be running a party or two and then of course there is clean up. Remember, you will be the face of the store. Hence, we require someone who brings their A-Game every day to the store and make sure our guests leave with a smile.
