We're looking for highly talented and experienced Frontend Java developer. You will have a strong understanding of Frontend Java Development, best practices and can engage in high-level discussions regarding frontend development. This role requires you to be motivated and passionate about what you do. You will be responsible for developing Single Page Applications employing Angular JS, Twitter Bootstrap, Angular UI, HTML and CSS3.
Duties / Responsibilities:
* Design and implement an aesthetically beautiful, innovative and friendly user experiences, which works across multiple browsers and optimised for desktop and mobile platforms
* Translate mockups and wireframes to user friendly and intuitive interfaces using HTML and CSS.
* Build Single page applications using Angular JS and integrate the client side to backend Rest services
* Work closely with backend developers on product integration and APIs
* Report on status of the project and provide effort estimates
* Develop unit tests using the test driven development frameworks Karma/Jasmine
* Performance tuning of web pages / frontend bottlenecks
Mandatory skills:
* 3+ years commercial experience with HTML, Javascript, AJAX, Jquery and CSS
* 2 years experience with Angular JS
* Highly competent in Javascript and cross platform CSS along with an impeccable attention to detail
* Strong understanding of web UI design
* Experience with REST web services
* Extensive use of web frameworks and libraries (Angular, Node, Grunt, Bootstrap, Karma/Jasmine)
* Strong OO concepts, MVC experience and worked in an agile environment
* Effective communication and presentation skills
Desirable skills:
* Component management using Bower
* Experience with Jira, Bamboo and Confluence and understanding of Jira in relation to agile task allocation and defect management
* Experience within a SCRUM based Agile approach including daily stand-up meetings, story-boards and user -stories, iterations, retrospectives etc.
