Customer Service

• Provides a courteous and professional service at all times.
• Handles guest and employee enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, reporting complaints or problems if no immediate solution can be found, whilst providing a prompt follow-up.
• Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.

Operational

• To maintain fire alarm panel in good operating condition.
• To ensure cleanliness of fire fighting system.
• To maintain smoke detectors and heat detectors in good working conditions.
• To carry out preventive maintenance for fire alarm panel, smoke detectors and heat detectors.
• To carry out repair and maintenance of fire extinguishers in order to keep them in good working condition.
• To check and repair fire exit signage.
• To check fire exits as per schedule.
• To maintain a log of periodic checking of fire fighting system and conduct an audits every month.
• To check fire hydrants, canvass tube, nozzles, valves, rubber tubes on monthly basis and they are in good operating conditions.
• To assist Assistant Director Engineering in training of fire fighting to the employees.
• To maintain fire trolleys in good conditions.
• To organise fire drill for the hotel once a quarter.
• Impart training on regular basis to ensure all employees are aware of their role in case of evacuation.
• Check preparation of all departments regarding fire evacuation procedures.
• Provide relevant feedback to all departments regarding Fire fighting preparation and ensure compliance.
• To test flooding systems for L.T. Panel, I.S.D., U.P.S rooms etc.,
• To ensure no fire exit of the hotel is ever blocked and advise the concerned department when required.
• Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
• Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments, in a spirit of We work through Teams.
• Carries out and completes all maintenance works/requests according to the established schedule and ensures high quality of finishing work. Pays particular attention to guest related jobs.
• Operates assigned machines/ equipment as to provide continuous and consistent utilities required for operations.
• Avoids unsightly hazards and complies with all local regulations and codes.
• Properly handles and maintains all power tools.
• Submits request to the Assistant Manager Engineering for the purchases of parts and consumables.
• Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties.
• Ensures effective energy conservation measures in areas of operations
• Ensures fire, life and safety systems are operational.
• Performs emergency procedures relating to fire, life and safety; e.g., such as attending to fire alarms, lift rescue.
• Ensures timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Reports any abnormal conditions noticed at any time in line with safety related equipment or installation to Assistant Manager Engineering.
• Assists other Technicians when requested by Superiors
