At least 1 years of work experience on Mx3.1environment is highly desirable
Good Experience in Unix Operating System, Sybase/Oracle RDBMS
Knowledge of 3 Tier architectures, T-SQL/PL-SQL and Shell/Perl Scripting languages
Experienced in writing automation scripts
Understanding of MX Installation procedure -
o Hands on experience on setup/re-configure new & existing Murex environments.
o Good understanding on Mx installation process and Mx binary upgrades, licenses and murex documentation.
o Printer Configuration and Installation on Murex.
o Understanding of Batch Processing/ processing scripts technical configuration
o Usage of processing scripts API for scheduling
o Load balancing concepts and exposure of setting up load balancing for Murex app servers and customization of load balancer and the creation of processing scripts
Environment Management & Monitoring
o Environment planning and allocation, build/refresh, End-to-end support.
o Experience in performing batch improvements, identifying and fixing long running jobs
o Experience in supporting distributed apps server configuration on murex environment.
o Disk Space and Memory Management.
o Import/Export of Murex Database dumps
o Day to day activities include logs review, client installation, troubleshooting, user dump extraction and monitoring of Murex application
o Infrastructure, Business engine, middleware and sequencing layers monitoring
o Monitoring system memory and Mxml configuration ,environment variables and the page file memory.
o Monitoring & Killing murex sessions from monit.
o Enabling of debug log level and trace file as a part of troubleshooting.
Support Processes
o Support maintenance activities which includes, daily, weekly, monthly & yearly. (Purging, trace, core & log files clean-up etc.)
o L1 & L2 support processes and exposure
o Areas of support - Murex EoD batch, troubleshooting Murex services, MxML exchanges, interfaces support and Murex reporting
o Good understanding on the incident and problem management, Release Management, Configuration Management processes
