Job Purpose: To ensure timely delivery of defect free new and existing products as per next customer demand with optimal resource utilization. Key Activities: 1. Assist in making section policy, annual budget & monthly review as per set targets for quality, cost, delivery, and productivity. a. Preparing documents required for making annual policy & budget b. Monthly data compilation & analysis. 2. Achieve shift wise defect free production to fulfill next customer demand. a. Production planning & manpower deployment as per shift plan b. Ensures all materials availability c. Ensures defect free components are delivered to the customer, attends the quality problems at engine assy. & take containment, corrective & preventive actions d. Analysis of production losses, take corrective & preventive action e. Liaisoning with support functions for losses & improvement activities f. Up-datation of DWM board (OEE, 16 losses, action planning) & MIS preparation 3. Learn & support a development of a new process for timely delivery of new model a. Coordinating new development activities with production engineering, and other internal departments to create facilities for new models b. Re-lay outing of the machines for improvement & new model c. Setup time & cycle time reduction in new models d. Train operator in new process 4. Implementation of TPM, 5S & TEI activities to improve the employee engagement & efficiency. a. Implementation of TPM & improvement projects is the deptt. Also takes ownership of JH activities in shop floor b. Participation in SIT + CFT + Task forces & QC story preparation of solved problems c. To ensure participation of workers/junior staff in quality circles. d. To ensure operators involvement in suggestion schemes e. Define role & responsibilities & individual development plans of all team members f. Personal interaction & counseling of team members for day to day issues g. Planning for Manpower requirement, job allocation, multi-skilling & training to new operators. 5. Make, adhere & improve management system to sustain & improve the current level of deptt a. Ensure Quality management system through confirming audit with calibrated instruments as per inspection plan. b. Identification of abnormalities, Equipment Preventive maintenance planning & execution. c. Ensure sustenance of Poke yokes, CLRI sheets adherence, equipment equipmentprog. Backup & standardization of part programs d. Tool life management, new tools trail for improvements. e. Ensure inspection is carried out as per inspection plan. f. Fixing & adherence of Material inventory norms, trolleys & conveyor maintenance 6. To ensure cost targets to be meet with assigned cost to aligned with overall deptt cost target. a. Reduce rejection of components as per plan. b. Maintain consumable tools & Repair & maintenance cost within budget. c. SMM reduction 7. To ensure safe, healthy and environment friendly shop floor with in his shift a. To ensure zero LTA & NLTA accidents in shop floor b. Identify unsafe actions & conditions in the deptt & rectify them.
