Electro-mechanical Technician-(Drive)

Job Specifications:

Need to have minimum 3 years of experience with an agency workshop, that includes trouble shooting of all mechanical and electrical systems of modern vehicles.

Should be able to perform diagnosing using the latest diagnosing equipment.

Must have Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

Need to have good communication skills.

Job Description:

Carries out diagnosis on faults, checks the parameters and analyses the defect. Rectifies the defect and fixes in the time allowed. In the event of complications, refers the matter to the Workshop Supervisor.

If it is essential to break the time on the job, immediately clocks off the job and on to the new one given by the Time Controller, and does not recommence work until clocked back and on the original allocated job.

If any parts are required, informs the Workshop Supervisor.

Identifies additional work and nonconformances, rapidly communicates them to the Time Controller and writes them down on the Job Card.

Ensures the presentation of the equipment viz. resetting of equipment and accessories, cleanliness.

Applies the manufacturer's directives and safety rules.

Uses test and measurement equipment wherever required.

Maintains the stock of tools and keeps them in proper condition.

Informs the Time Controller/Workshop Supervisor of any new equipment/tool required for jobs.

Follows the quality assurance procedures.

Performs other duties that may be assigned by the Workshop Supervisor.
