Design & Estimation Engineer

ROLE
Should have build all required competencies in the areas of Fire Detection, Suppression and Protection and Access Video, Intrusion and Building Management Systems. Execution of day-to-day operations activities, cost, quality, safety and customer service while leading the business in continuous improvement steps to meet a sustainable competitive advantage in all country markets
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties and responsibilities:
· Understanding the customer need and positioning cost effective offers for bids to improve inquiry conversion
· Ensure integrated Design and Estimation – Effective costing, Estimation and pre-design activities.
· To ensure compliance with both global and India regulatory environment and regulations.
· Estimation support in all regions to be reviewed and improved as required.
· Project monitoring through utilization of confirmed quantities/ BOQ generation.
· Pre-negotiation and standardization of suppliers / Vendors.
· Site survey during bid stages for specific projects.
· Development and formation of regional design capabilities for both mechanical and electrical aspects.
· Review of all major estimates before submission as per authority matrix.
· Critical bids to be focused and discussed with the sales managers. Work closely with Procurement and Operations Leaders to deliver pre bid drawings on large bids Maintaining design activities within estimated cost.
· Standardization of Design engineering and Estimation processes across all regions through both direct and matrix relationships
