- End Deliverables to achieve speedy product development to support quick product launches in the PPD BU.
- Significance of this role is to:
- In todays fast changing and market oriented environment where speed to market may dictate success & failure, On-time (and within budgeted cost) product development has become imperative to profitability and sustainability.
- This role acts as SPOC (Single point of contact) and interfaces within organisation, co-ordinate and follows-up with internal and external stakeholders and ensures that products are developed within stipulated time & cost

Development of strategies to achieve speedy product development of Components/Products
Roll out of product development initiatives, program management of the entire drive, review of the progress
Follow-up with Vendors, BUs, Marketing, Quality, Finance etc. and apprise management on progress at scheduled frequency
Major Challenges
Dealing with uncertainties of design features, volumes, specifications and quality parameters
Working under aggressive timelines
Managing multiple stakeholders within procurement, other functions & vendors to secure alignment & implementation in tight timelines
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Schedule adherence (Speed to Market) of product launch target
Maximise Q, C, D parameters while development of products
Skills and Knowledge
Must be an engineer in Electrical / Mechanical streams with a min experience of 3 years
Must have worked in product development preferably electrical development.
Must have knowledge of related commodities
Experience in product development of mechanical, electrical, power, automotive components
Ability to communicate with all levels and having strong problem solving skills
Experience in areas such as product development, VA/VE, alternate source development, supplier development etc.
Persons having worked as category buyer shall be preferred
