CTPL / Senior Network Engineer

General Overview:
The Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, installing, maintaining and testing an enterprise network infrastructure and related technologies/applications.
Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support and problem resolution on complex issues in one or more of the following areas: networking, systems, storage, architecture or desktop environment.
2. Manage small to medium-sized projects or portions of large projects and assist in resolving issues and planning for new applications and services.
3. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve and enhance communication services to internal and external customers.
4. Develop the overall network strategy, design, upgrades, deployment, retirement and troubleshooting of components that make enterprise network infrastructure.
5. Design for future state of our enterprise network including integration with multiple platforms.
6. Work closely with multiple technology departments to ensure highest network uptime and application support, as well as various business units to develop secure, functional enterprise network solutions.
7. Participate in developing guidelines and procedures for Security, WANs, LANs, WLANs, network services, and security services.
8. Responsible for network communication equipment such as Firewalls, Routers, Switches. 
9. Act as a liaison between internal users/staff and Telco and Network carriers related to design activities.
10. Engaged in the engineering, implementation, and support of key infrastructure platforms used in the operations of small/medium branch locations, call centers and data center locations.
11. Perform traffic analysis and capacity analysis of network systems.
12. Responsible for complex engineering and analytical tasks and activities. Recommend and document changes to system configurations through change management process.
13. Participate as a department resource for all network related projects.
14. Responsible for architecting new integrations and deployments in order to standardize network technologies.
15. Documentation of network systems, Visio Drawings, job aids, project plans, implementation plans, handoff documentation for helpdesk team.
16. Provide high level customer service to internal users
17. Provides highest level of support regarding Network technologies.
18. Provide technical direction and training to junior Technical Services personnel
Required Qualification:-
1. CCIE Certification advantageous
2. Seven years of technical experience in an enterprise network engineering and support environment. 
3. Extensive network engineering, network design and support experience.
4. Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and related technologies.
5. Expert in Networking.
6. Strong interpersonal, oral, visual and written communication skills.
7. Advanced knowledge of Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Switches and related technologies.
8. Strong understanding of networking technologies: Cisco IOS, OSI Model, Switching, IP Routing, IP Subnetting, TCP/IP protocol, VPN’s, DNS, Router/Firewall ACL’s, VLANs, WLANs and NAT.
9. Proficient in QoS for VoIP technologies.
10. Proficient in WAN circuitry for both Data and Voice Designs.
11. Knowledge of delivery of network services to small/medium environments.
12. Extensive network troubleshooting knowledge.
13. In depth understanding of telecommunications theory.
14. Ability to complete multiple complex and high priority projects and initiatives within scope, budget and timeline. Complex problem solving abilities with experience in performing root cause analysis.
15. Ability to effectively communicate highly technical options/solutions to audiences of widely varying skill levels.
16. Ability to work within a customer oriented, positive team environment
