Cloud Database Administrator – PostgreSQL

Key Responsibilities:

Detect and troubleshoot DB Server CPU, Memory, I/O and other resource contention,Troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.,Respond quickly and effectively to DBA and Cloud Operations team as a point of escalation for anything database related,Oversee backup, monitoring, replication and failover,Plan, test and execute on disaster recovery plans,Can prevent, detect, and correct problems.

Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field,4+ years in DBA role in a large scale PostgreSQL and MS SQL environment,Expert in Operational Automation,Documentation skills for processes and procedures,Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills,Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language,AWS RDS experience will be plus
