Work
Experience
Minimum 5-7 years system
design experience in Instrumentation/Electrical/Control stream.
Demonstrated
experience in safe and hazardous area system panels is essential
Design system control
panels (safe area / hazardous area), relay panels, certifications diagrams and
relevant databases etc.
Design field device,
control station, and junction box stanchions / supports, etc.
Technical
Skills
Experience in design of
electrical, control and instrumentation system panels
(DCS/ESD/F&G/SCADA/RTU) for use in Refinery/ Petrochemical/ Oil & Gas/
Utilities projects is an advantage.
Knowledge of
Application/Functionality/Operation of various hardware components used in PLC,
Control and Electrical Panels.
Experience in preparation
of control drawings, i.e., loop diagrams, power distribution, wiring diagrams,
junction box termination, interconnection diagrams, general arrangement, system
architecture drawings, and drawings for construction.
Experience in
preparation of construction and site installation drawings such as cable
tray/ladder/trench routing, instrument process and air hook-ups, instrument
layout, instrument and junction box installation drawings, foundation details
etc.
Good Knowledge of
hazardous area classifications and markings. Experience with the different
hazardous area certifications and the suitability of components used for the
application.
Full understanding
of I/O lists; IO Types and signal parameters, allocation table, cable
schedule and cable block diagrams and other system related
drawings
Good
knowledge in PLCs, IS barriers, signal multipliers, various types of relays,
terminals, enclosures etc.
Experience
in preparation of ‘As-built’ drawings from field mark-ups.
Experience with wiring databases
in SPI and /or AVEVA E&I (and the use of these systems to generate project
documentation) will be a benefit.
