The main roles of this team are to execute architectural definition and trade-off studies, to generate performance projections and to carry out performance verification. The team’s key focus is to improve the performance of world-class Accelerated Processing Units (APUs). The APU includes a growing number of processing units including CPU's, GPU's, memory controllers, I/O interfaces, and fixed-purpose accelerators.
Hire and mentor team members
Develop, track and communicate project schedules
Monitor and report project status
Provide technical guidance and recommendations to Client SoC team
Lead APU projects in the following areas:
Performance model and infrastructure development
Performance simulation and modeling
APU power and performance tradeoffs
Workloads analysis, optimization and tuning
Job responsibilities also include multi-discipline interactions with IP and SoC architects/managers, SW developers, tool owners, logic designers, and verification engineers in order to identify, resolve and document architectural performance issues
Experience with computer system simulation and performance evaluation
Familiar with microarchitecture modeling and simulator development
Experience analyzing system bottlenecks and optimizing computing systems for performance
Proficient in C/C++ programming and software engineering concepts
Detailed microarchitecture knowledge of a CPU, GPU, DSP, multimedia co-processor, I/O subsystem, and/or DRAM controller
Familiarity with computing software, including operating systems, hypervisors, compilers, drivers, and workloads
Experience: 12+ years of prior industry/academic experience Job Location:- Hyderabad Educational Qualification – Masters/Ph.D. degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with emphasis on computer architecture and performance/power analysis
