Position : Android Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
• A Sound understanding of the platform level UI Capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Taking up a leadership role in Brainstorming and coming up with ideas/features/technology that would drive the product to next level.
• Work with outside data sources and API’s.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new platform features to maximize development efficiency.
• Participate in trouble shooting various problems in the system.
• Proactively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders. Identify, mitigate, communicate, escalate and manage risks early.
Desired Skills and Experience
• Excellent knowledge of Android programming skills & a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits.
• Proficient in application integration using REST web services
• Proven working experience in Android development for at least 3 years
• Experience with Android SDK
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (Twitter, Facebook Connect, Google Maps, Payment Gateways etc.)
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
