Analog Design Engineer

Job Description:
Analog Circuits:
. Analog Design Engineer to own some custom analog circuits in AMD’s SerDes PHYs. Design modules would include Comparators, DAC/ADC, Resistance Calibration circuits, etc.
Desired skills:
. Strong design experience in analog IPs like PLL, Op-amps, Biasgens, Charge-pump, LC & VCO oscillator, LDO regulators, etc.
. Experience owning circuit design, working with layout resources, holding design reviews, and communicating status with upper management
. Hands-on experience with latest technology nodes, preferably FinFet
. Strong understanding of circuit fundamentals and impact of variation on design performance
. Hands-on experience with all industry standard transistor level simulators, electrical analysis tools
Digital Circuits:
. -Digital circuit designer to own some high-speed digital clocking circuits in FinFet technology nodes.
. Desired skills:
. - Solid understanding of transistor level fundamentals especially the switching characteristics of transistors and inverters.
. - Different regions/modes of operation of CMOS devices, sizing of basic CMOS gates and realization of logic using transistors.
. - Solid understanding of sequential elements like flip-flops, latches and clock-gaters.
. - Strong understanding of static timing analysis (setup/hold) in digital circuits.
. - Hands-on experience in transistor level simulations, preferably spice/spectre simulations
. - Good knowledge of RC characteristics of interconnect, and concepts of crosstalk and electromigration.
. - Familiarity with any HDL language, preferably Verilog
. - Experience in custom clock tree networks and clock divider circuits is a plus
