The sugar is normally produced in three forms viz 1) Refined Sugar 2) Cane plantation double sulphitation direct consumption white sugar and 3) Raw sugar. We produce mostly the second category, which is double sulphitation white sugar and raw sugar based on offer. The project for producing refined sugar, pharma grade sugar and sugar candy are also in the pipeline.
A cogeneration system is the sequential or coincident generation of multiple forms of useful energy (usually mechanical and thermal) in a single, integrated system. It consist of a number of individual components – steam generator, heat recovery, Condenser and electrical inter connection. The steam generator are capable of burning a variety of fuels, including bagasse, natural gas, coal, oil, bio mass fuels to produce mechanical energy.
The final molasses is a byproduct in the sugar mill and contains residual sugar (sucrose), glucose and fructose. Two basic unit operations are done during production of alcohol from molasses viz. Fermentation and distillation.
Bagasse is the residue obtained from crushing cane in the mills. Bagasse is used as a raw material by the paper industry and it is also very commonly used as fuel in boilers in the sugar factory for co-generation of power. Bagasse & wood fibre are made into building boards by a process analogous to paper making. Moisture contents is the main determinant of calorific value i.e. the lower the moisture content, the higher the calorific value. Most mills produce Bagasse of 49% moisture content, and most boilers are designed to burn Bagasse at around 50% moisture. In general, bagasse has a heating value of 2200 Kcal/kg on a wet, as-fired basis at 50% Moisture. For every 100 tons of Sugarcane crushed, a Sugar factory produces about 30 tons of wet Bagasse. Bagasse is often used as a primary fuel source in cogen boiler for steam & power generation.
Bio-fertilizers are defined as preparations containing living cells or latent cells of efficient strains of micro-organisms that help crop plants’ uptake of nutrients by their interactions in the rhizosphere when applied through seed or soil.
