Founded in Australia in 1950, the Harvey World Travel Group expanded into South Africa in the early nineties with BidTravel, part of the JSE listed Bidvest Group, the majority local share-holder in this dynamic travel business. Harvey World Travel was operated as a 50/50 joint venture between Harvey World International (Pty) Ltd registered in Australia and the Bidvest Group Limited until 2015 whereupon Bidvest assumed a 100% equity shareholding in the business.

BidTravel, the travel and aviation services division of Bidvest Limited, has over 30% market share in the South African travel sector ensuring unparalleled negotiating power with all travel suppliers so that our customers enjoy the best travel deals possible.

The Harvey SA Group comprises a wide network of Travel Professionals with over 45 agencies strategically located in key metro areas and satellite agencies servicing smaller towns throughout South Africa and neighbouring countries (Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia and Botswana).
