AfriPipes commenced manufacturing operation in November 2007 in Durban, South Africa. AfriPipes has deployed state-of-the-art German/American technology with high throughput.

The major shareholders of AfriPipes are :

PPP Investments Ltd, UAE (Technology partner of AfriPipes) is a sister company of Desbro Group, the leaders in plastic pipe manufacturing in Mauritius. This leadership position has been maintained for many years by keeping high quality standards and implementing of cutting-edge technology. Desbro Group is also involved in the steel and the chemical sector.

Cyril Gwala is the AfriPipes BEE partner with 20% stake. Cyril Gwala is a Director at Mooreland Property and has been the Chairperson of Durban Chamber of Commerce.

Mrs M. Pillay is a successful business women based in Durban who also took a 10% stake in AfriPipes. Her business interest span nationally and also across the borders in Zimbabwe and Zambia. She has won various awards for her entrepreneurship.
